Founded in 2019 in Ethiopia’s Gesha region, this farm sits outside the fame of Yirgacheffe, yet produces some of the world’s most celebrated varieties. The Gori Gesha varietal is renowned for exceptional cup quality and is considered one of the oldest and most prized heirlooms, originating initial planting in the Gori Gesha forest 20 minutes from the farm.

The farm meticulously controls every step of the picking and processing techniques. This particular lot is a sister to the Carbonic Maceration lot, sharing the same 92-hour fermentation period, but without the addition of carbon dioxide. Furthermore, this lot was harvested from cherries with a very high Brix reading of 22 (Brix measures sugar content), significantly above the typical coffee cherry Brix level of around 18. Due to the Gesha region's warmer climate compared to areas like Sidama, drying naturals is an easily managed process here.

The cup is vibrant and elegant, with orange blossom aromatics, bright orange acidity, caramel sweetness, yellow plum, and sangria notes. We hope you enjoy this rare and coveted varietal. A fruity surprise to savor!
